Orangette - Dark Chocolate

Refreshing sweet-tart candied orange slices from Tainan, Taiwan are coated with wine-like dark chocolate. Every morsel brings forth bright citrus aroma, sweetness and a complex finish.

Each slices of oranges were hand-cut and cured in brine to remove bitterness and astringency before immersing in sugar syrup to be slowly dried for 11 hours. This labour of love helps to retain the original citrus aroma while restraining bitterness from the pith.

We hand-dipped these tasty slices in a wine-like Rehoboth Estate 70% dark chocolate, a perfect match that makes them delicious on their own, and great when paired with a glass of red wine or whisky.
